The MECO Lube Lock Seal System (LLSS) greatly reduces the chance of leakage. It has been engineered to utilize straight thread O-ring connections on all joints instead tapered pipe thread connections. The use of replaceable O-Rings for sealing rather than the interference and challenges of formed threads provides a much tighter, more reliable, maintenance-free seal. Systems can be disassembled and reassembled numerous times with no additional make-up required. And all existing equipment can be upgraded with this new system.

This upgrade significantly reduces the chance for leakage at the compressor's joints. Straight thread, O-ring connections per SAE J514 are utilized on all joints instead of standard tapered pipe thread connections. The SAE connections depend on simple, replaceable O-rings for sealing rather than the interference of perfectly formed threads. Systems can be disassembled and reassembled numerous times with no additional make-up required.

Pressurized lube oil systems have the tendency to produce and emit a mist in the form of an oil vapor from the vent cap installed in the compressor housing. For our larger compressors, model D6/D7 used on MECO 2900 gph or larger units, we have developed a method to capture these vent fumes/mist by installing a specially designed cartridge filter. Eliminates Oil Exhaust Fumes The cartridge filter eliminates the oil exhaust fumes/mist from the atmosphere by capturing the visible oil vapor and re-depositing the liquids back to the oil tank. This upgrade is currently installed on all new MECO units and can be easily adapted to older units in the field. Minor modifications to the present lube oil piping have to be made in order to incorporate the new connections.
