MECO Vapor Compression Desalination Plants Produce Desalinated Water Offshore India

MECO designed and constructed two vapor compression desalination plants for the production of drinking and process water for a major oil and gas company offshore of India in the Mumbai High oilfield. Located in the Arabian Sea approximately 160 KM west of the Mumbai coast, the two MECO 1250M3C VC desalination plants were each rated at 100 cubic meters per day. These vapor compression plants were utilized to produce distilled water quality. The plants were also designed to be fully automated and explosion proof. They were constructed of 90/10 copper nickel and titanium to provide corrosion resistance and long life. MECO VC desalination plants have been desalinating Arabian Seawater for over 40 years.

MECO is a world leader in the design and construction of engineered products for water purification serving industries where water is considered a critical utility.
