We are seeking a remote Automation Engineer to design, program, document control systems in our units as well as configure SCADA/DCS systems. Specific responsibilities will vary from project to project and include control system design, control system programming, SCADA/DCS configuration, system documentation, control hardware, and related system integration. Automation engineers often participate in all phases of projects from applications to detailed design and through documentation, testing, commissioning and are also significant contributors to product development.
Core Responsibilities
Performs specific portions of a broader assignment of senior Automation Personnel
Design control systems for projects
PLC programming and Operator Interface Terminal (OIT) configuration
Provide test documentation for project/manufacturing support
Create validation documentation for project support
Assist in Manufacturing/Project Test Activities
Write operating instructions for Operation and Maintenance Manuals
Assists in on-site commissioning activities.
Assist in troubleshooting and field service support
Performance Measures
Quality of technical work
Quality and timeliness of design output
Meeting goals and objectives of the department
Cost saving designs
Engineering file organization
ISO Procedure adherence
Some degree of latitude and independence is expected in meeting project, team, and company goals.
Education, Experience, and Technical Knowledge
More than 2 Years Industry Experience
Bachelor’s or associate degree in electrical engineering or STEM field.
Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, etc.
Experience in manufacturing environment helpful
