MECO on the North Shore is seeking a Test Technician experienced in reading schematics; installing control circuits and wiring; troubleshooting wiring and control & instrumentation panels; configuring level, temperature and pressure transmitters, conductivity monitors, transducers (I/P’s) and VFD’s using field communicators and other testing equipment.  Additional duties include performing I/O checklist point assignments, operational safeties, and tune control loops; start unit assembly, note discrepancies, perform test addenda and take shakedown data.



  • H.S. diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ yrs experience.
  • Must have a strong mechanical background
  • Must be able to read P&ID drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Must have experience in wiring motors
  • Prior equipment maintenance experience a plus
  • Must pass a written mechanical aptitude test


This position requires occasional use of a respirator.  This position requires the hired individual(s) to be clean-shaven or willing to shave when the need to use respirator arises.

While training will take place on 1st shift, this is a 2nd shift position.  A shift differential is paid when working on 2nd shift.
