We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Representative to join our team at our Mandeville facility. This role is critical to maintaining the precision and reliability of our machine shop operations and ensuring all measurement tools across the facility remain compliant with calibration standards.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work with little to no supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to take initiative, and a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support quality audits by ensuring all measuring equipment is traceable and properly documented.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to uphold precision standards and continuous compliance.
  • Collecting, Reviewing, Organizing, and Filing Quality Records.
  • Coordinate handling and disposition of non-conformances.
  • Inspect parts to tight tolerances using hand-measuring tools

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dimensional inspection tools (tape measures, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Read and understand manuals, blueprints/piping and instrument diagrams and regulations

 

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in calibration, metrology, or quality inspection in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
  • Experience with calibration software or database management tools.
  • Technical certification in metrology, quality control, or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in maintaining digital records of calibration and inspection activities.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or other relevant quality standards.
  • Minimum 1 years QC experience required using: Calipers, micrometers, micro heights, optical comparators, gauges and other measuring instruments
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques is desirable.
