Job Description - Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a Receiving Clerk for our Hammond, LA facility. The responsibilities of a Materials Handler at MECO will include:
• Maintain proper counts of parts pulled, stocked or staged.
• Move materials to and from warehouse locations to any other area inside or outside of our facility.
• Receive incoming materials and verify proper counts per packing slip.
• Stock parts in the proper location and verify and check stock to ensure there are no shortages of parts needed for producing product.
• Prepare pumps and parts for shipping by boxing, palletizing or crating.
• Load and unload pumps and materials from carrier trucks using loading dock or outside delivery area.
• Confirm production orders utilizing the Grundfos ERP system SAP.
• Confirm operations on production orders by initiating the operation and completing the SAP transactions.
• Review orders for accuracy; research and analyze findings and reconcile material shortages using SAP. Report discrepancies to supervisor in support of continuous improvement.
• Support and actively participate in all 5S activities on a daily basis including maintaining, department’s equipment and tools.
• Adhere to inventory control and other company procedures as applicable.
• Perform all work in compliance with company policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and direction and identify non-compliance situations for resolution.
• Comply with all health and safety initiatives to ensure the Company remains a safe workplace.
• Perform the job in a way that meets all applicable laws, regulations and EHS requirements.
• Report immediately all hazards / incidents to their direct Manager/Supervisor, or Site EHS Representative (or designee) after realizing a work-related event has occurred.
• Exercise their freedom and ability to identify areas for improvement and to initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to EHS related issues.
• Complete all required EHS training courses.
Required Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or a combination of training, education and experience preferred.
• Previous experience using SAP as well as warehouse experience, crane lift rigging, and forklift experience is preferred.
• 2+ years warehouse experience is preferred.
