Job Description - Machinist

We are seeking a Machinist for our Mandeville, LA facility.

Core Responsibilities

Produce production machined parts to required tolerances using Engineering drawings, manufacturing operating instructions and sketches

Solve any machining problem using job knowledge and insight as well as incorporating new concepts and methods

Set-up, adjust and perform program edits as required

Discuss project specifications with engineers and supervisors to guarantee consistency between plans and products, and collaborate to modify designs when existing ones are not feasible

All duties assigned by supervisor

Skill Requirements

Ability to set up and operate CNC Mills using fixtures, vises, chucks, etc…

Create Simple programs as needed for less complex parts.

Edit programs to improve productivity and Quality.

Ability to use precision measuring tools

High school diploma or GED, required

Formal training as a machinist

5 years in the trade

Prefer Mazak experience but any relevant experience will be considered.
