MECO Completes Start Up At One of the World’s Largest Water For Injection (WFI) Production Plants

MECO recently completed the installation and start up of multiple vapor compression plants at B. Braun Medical Inc.’s Irvine, CA production facility, which is one of the world’s largest WFI production plants.

MECO produces the largest biopharmaceutical distillers used for WFI production in the world and its vapor compression process is the most efficient means of distilling water for WFI production. The system is pretreated with softening agents and carbon filtration minimizes wastewater and overall operating costs.
