Marine Sales Manager

This position will cover all Marine Sales locations.  The position requires extensive travel, domestic as well as international, when required.

The Sales Manager will have responsibility for the business development of the Marine Product Line, and implementation of the company’s Product Line growth strategy. Will focus on the early identification of business opportunities that fit the company’s offerings.  

The successful candidate will promote the company’s products and services, and pursue leads, including calling on Oil & Gas companies and related suppliers, contractors, and engineering groups. This individual will provide leadership to the bid/proposal team and participates in bid preparation and presentation.

Require bachelor’s degree, and 5 years experience in Marine sales.

Project Engineer  Marine Team

MECO’s ideal candidate will have experience in cost estimating, design engineering of mechanical components of systems, support testing & commissioning of equipment, proposal and quote preparation for offshore and marine industry mechanical equipment.

BS in Eng’g required,  ME or EE preferred, ChE is acceptable
Requires 5+ yrs exp in the focus industries (packaged process equipment manufacturing supplied to Oil/Gas/Offshore industries.
Strong computer skills in Word, Lotus and CAD-related programs
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment desired
Travel may be required

Project Manager

MECO’s ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple projects in a design/manufacture/support environment in biopharm and/or marine industries.  Project management includes interfacing with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure high quality systems are provided on schedule and within budgets.

Mechanical Designer

This position is for an AutoDesk Inventor Designer specializing in mechanical equipment drawings.   Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:  prepare structural piping assembly and spool drawings; route piping given a P&I and equipment.  May be required to prepare BOM and equipment details.

Requirements: 
Minimum of HS diploma or equivalent plus formal AutoDesk Inventor training
2+ years design experience using AutoCAD and Inventor
Knowledge base must include drafting methods, procedures & techniques and Inventor 2010 or higher
Must have thorough working knowledge of Word and Excel
Experience with AutoDesk Vault preferred

 Field Service Representative

Following product-specific training at our Covington, LA and Sugar Land, TX facilities, the Service Representative will perform on-site commissioning, troubleshooting & repair, and provide maintenance for installed equipment; train customers on MECO equipment/processes and resolve field service issues. Must self-manage and be willing to travel up to 85% of the time, domestically and internationally.

Requirements:
-  HS Diploma or equivalent plus technical training
- 3+ years electrical/mechanical equipment experience
- Prior exp with water purification equipment and processes desired
- Hands on experience with PLCs

Field Service Engineer

The Field Service Engineer will possess knowledge of water treatment equipment and is able to commission, troubleshoot and operate evaporators, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, micro-filtration, softening, filtration and distribution systems. You will commission water treatment systems to completeness.  Additionally, you will create proposals for system optimization and/or improvements based on your recommendations and recommendations of others; generate new business and ensure growth of existing accounts; and assess potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs.
 Must self-manage and be willing to travel up to 85% of the time, domestically and internationally.

Requirements:
- BS in an Engineering discipline
- 6+ years exp with water-related operations
- Must possess strong PLC skills
- Ability and willingness to travel as required, assume full-time
- Ability to perform direct hands-on diagnostics and repairs (using hand tools, hand instruments, meters, PLC programming, etc.)
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills

Engineering 

Electrical Controls Engineer


We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to be responsible for project electrical engineering, control systems, instrumentation and machine power systems. Day-to-day responsibilities will include electrical engineering design, PLC Programming, OIT Configuration, instrumentation specification, power system design, and documentation for projects along with some plant engineering to support these projects. Will be required to develop and maintain internal engineering test procedures, work instructions, and support applications engineering with proposals, provide field-commissioning support, and need to design equipment to UL or CE standards.
 Requirements

 -         Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of experience working in an industrial environment.

-         Strong knowledge and experience with industrial controls/processes, Instrumentation, power systems, and motor controls.

-         Strong PLC programming and documentation skills.

-         Diverse set of technical and communication skills to work as part of a team with mechanical engineering, drafting, and manufacturing and provide technical support to end-users.

-         Adherence to quality, schedule, and budget.

-         Some travel will be required.

Planner/Scheduler

Requires HS diploma or GED and at least 3 years experience with heavy computer usage, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.  Must be familiar with common engineering and manufacturing terminology. This position requires a PC literate individual with an eye for detail.

Core responsibilities include: Process MPS/MRP, identify and resolve any process issues, enter work orders, and run shortage reports.

Quality Inspector

MECO, the leading manufacturer of water purification systems, seeks a Quality Inspector with some experience for the fabrication, assembly and receiving areas at our Covington, LA facility.  Will conduct in-process and final inspections, coordinate disposition of non-confirming materials and assist in material movement.  Overtime may be required, but is not guaranteed.  Will work same hours as production area.

Position requirements:
1-2 yrs experience with quality documentation, required
HS Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to read schematics and prints
Prior experience conducting welding, receiving and in-process inspections, preferred
Basic knowledge of ASME, AWS and ISO standards
ASME welding certifiable
NDE experience or training, preferred

Machinist for VTL (2 positions available)

Requires min. 5 yrs exp on CNC machine tools. Applicant must be able to produce production-machined parts to required close tolerance and be able to program, set up and inspect own work with minimal supervision.
