MECO is seeking Project Engineer candidates to perform mechanical/process engineering design in both our Stafford, TX and Mandeville, LA offices.
Specific responsibilities will vary from project to project and include process design of thermal, membrane, and ion exchange systems; thermal and physical design of heat exchangers, evaporators, and condensers; structural design of skids and frames; and selection of pumps, valves, and other related system components. Project engineers often participate in all phases of projects from applications to detailed design and through documentation, testing, commissioning and are also the primary contributors to product development. Marine Team Project Engineers
Marine Project Engineers will work with a dynamic team designing and constructing various types of plants used to purify water all over the world in the marine and offshore oil & gas environments. The Marine Project Engineer may be located in either Mandeville, LA or Stafford, TX.
We are looking for engineers with experience in design engineering of mechanical components of systems and with water equipment such as reverse osmosis units, softeners, carbon filters, de-ionization systems, evaporators and waste heat evaporators.
Daily duties will include labor estimation for fabrication and assembly of process equipment, cost estimating, design and sizing of process equipment such as pumps & heat exchangers. Additional duties will include: supporting equipment testing and commissioning, proposal and quote preparation for offshore and marine industry mechanical equipment, and customer documentation.
· BS in Engineering, ME or EE preferred; ChE acceptable
· 5+ years experience in focus industries (packaged process equipment manufacturing supplied to oil/gas/offshore industries
· Cost estimating experience
· Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and CAD-related programs
· PLC & OIT Programming, Ladder logic
· Familiarity with offshore and marine specifications, such as: AMS, ATEX, API
· Prior experience in a manufacturing environment

MECO’s Service Engineers work closely with our customers to resolve issues related to the commissioning, repair, and maintenance of units that have been delivered and/or are in use. Service Engineers liaison with the design/project engineers to develop efficient and cost effective solutions. The Service Engineer position may be based in either Stafford, TX or Mandeville, LA.

Following product-specific training at our Mandeville, LA facility, the Service Representative I will assist in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of complex industrial machinery. You will be required to diagnose and solve equipment problems using a wide array of skills, including tool expertise; error analysis; machinery upkeep; small-scale fabrication and repairs; and controls (PLC) work.

Customer Service Rep

We are seeking a Quality Representative to collect and distribute quality documentation, monitor shop testing, including hydro-tests and various functional tests, assist with safety and hazardous materials awareness. This individual may also assist in materials and in-process inspection and Quality Audits.
BS in an Engineering discipline, preferred.
At least 1 year experience in a quality system
Knowledge of ASME, AWS, PED & ISO standards preferred

We are seeking a Shipping clerk with a background in international shipping and documentation requirements. The ideal candidate will assemble orders and prepare products for shipment, be responsible for the accuracy of all shipping documentation including, but not limited to: Shipper Export Declaration, AES Filing, NAFTA, Shippers Letters of Instructions, Certificate of Origin, and Hazmat Documents. CURRENT PRODUCTION POSITIONS - Mandeville, LA

Mazak Lathe Machinist (2nd Shift)
You will be required to produce machined parts to required tolerances using Engineering drawings, manufacturing operating instructions and sketches. Will be required to set up and inspect own work with minimal supervision. All candidates should have a strong work ethic, a dedication to quality and pride in his/her work.
MECO will only consider candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
HS diploma or GED
Minimum 5+ years practical experience in a machine shop
Must have experience on a Mazak Lathe or equivalent machinery
Must be able to pass written mechanical aptitude test
Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
Fabricator (2nd Shift)
The job requires the employee to fabricate from fabrication and piping drawings. The ideal candidate must be able to operate all equipment used in the fabrication department. Will be required to read and understand any engineering drawing/specs with little or no supervision. Must be able to produce structurally sound welds, be able to fit, fabricate piping systems and complex layouts with minimal guidance.
HS Diploma or GED
5 years exp fabricating and performing TIG welding on stainless steel
TIG welding experience in full penetration welds in all positions
ASME vessel experience
Assembler w/ Welding Experience
Must have knowledge of basic pipe and instrument fitting. Experience fitting piping, running instrument tubing, and installing components and vessels on skid-mounted equipment, preferred. Must be able to read & understand P&ID, general arrangement and isometric drawings. Fabricate and install piping and support structure. Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install various metal and plastic pipes, valves and fittings. Will be required to provide welding support for the Assembly Department (approximately 30% of time).
HS Diploma or GED
3 yrs experience in a related trade for assembly
1 yr experience TIG welding preferred
Willing to work overtime as needed
Electrical Panel Assembler
Read and interpret wiring schematics. Layout and wire control and instrumentation panels without benefit of point-to-point wiring drawings, follow all electrical codes, determine wiring runs and bending of conduit on skid mounted equipment, troubleshoot problems. (No hot work required.) This is NOT an electronics type position.
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in the above listed skills

Sheet Metal Mechanic/Cladder
Individuals with experience covering evaporators, pipes, and tanks with insulating materials. Must be able to cover around steam and hot water piping using hand tools. The ideal candidates will have experience using a foot shear, hand roller, hand crimper and hand bender on sheet metal and to install the sheet metal around insulated pipes.
Other job duties will be to apply trowel mastic on the insulation materials, cover pipes, cut sheets of insulation using a knife and cover, seal or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with plastic covers.
