MECO’s GII Compressor Technology Receives International Certifications

MECO’s GII compressor technology, the industry standard for vapor compression distillation plants, has passed a battery of tests to obtain multiple international certifications. These certifications ensure our customers that the compressors will meet their stated power ratings and that the machines are designed to safe and good engineering practices.

The certifying authorities include Underwriters Laboratories (UL), the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC).

MECO’s GII international certifications include:

UL 1004-1 – Standard for Safety for Rotating Electrical Motors
CSA C22.2#100 – Canadian Standard for Motors and Generators
IEC 60034-18-1 – Standard for Safety for Rotating Electrical Machines
CENELEC EN 60034-1 – Standard for Safety for Rotating Electrical Machines –
Methods of Cooling
CENELEC EN60034-6 – Standard for Safety for Rotating Electrical Machines –
Functional Evaluation of Insulation Systems – General Guidelines
The GII Centurbo™ Compressor is exceptionally lightweight, quiet and clean, with features designed at enhancing efficiency. It is exceptionally quiet at less than 80 decibels. The GII sets a new standard for variable output that is designed to vary with your demand in order to reduce starts and stops and improve energy efficiency. It uses 1/3 less parts than other industrial compressors, which increase its reliability substantially. An advanced lubrication system uses only air and an intermittent mist of oil to cool and lubricate the bearings. No more storing, circulating, filtering and changing large quantities of oil.
