MECO Teams with Living Water International to Provide Water Relief in Haiti and Africa
MECO has teamed with Living Water International (LWI) to supply portable desalination plants for use in Haiti and Africa. Two MECO diesel operated reverse osmosis plants rated at 3000 gpd were supplied to LWI who will operate the plants and provide aid to those desperately in need. LWI was founded twenty years ago when a group from Houston, Texas traveled to Kenya and saw the desperate need for clean drinking water. In response to this need, LWI began implementing participatory, community based water solutions in develping countries. Since their beginning, LWI has completed water projects for 9,000 communities in 26 countries.
