The MASTERpak™ MICRO product line offers a fully integrated turnkey system designed for Ultrapure Water production. This advanced solution streamlines loop and make-up operations into a single, customized system tailored to your facility’s unique requirements. Engineered for exceptional purity, our systems consistently surpass global pharmacopeia standards, including those for laboratory water, and can also meet Ambient Water for Injection (WFI) specifications.

What Is Ultrapure Water?

Ultrapure Water (UPW) is water that has been purified to stringent specifications. It is treated to the highest levels of purity and stripped of all types of contaminants, including dissolved or suspended organic and inorganic compounds. Ultrapure Water systems, like our MASTERpak™ MICRO system, are required for the purification process.

These systems produce Ultrapure Water in various industries where even trace amounts of contaminants can negatively impact processes and product quality, such as biopharmaceuticals, research laboratories, semiconductor studies, and medical device manufacturing. 

An Ultrapure Water Purification System for Various Applications

The MASTERpak™ MICRO system supports the need for Ultrapure Water in many advanced processes, from filtration and reverse osmosis (RO) to electrodeionization and ultrafiltration. In the biotechnology laboratories, this Ultrapure Water filtration system is essential for providing water that contributes to cell culture growth. It also ensures accurate results in DNA sequencing and is utilized as a reagent in the chromatography process. 

These Ultrapure Water systems produce water that ensures the quality of pharmaceutical product ingredients. They also produce water for cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment. Additional applications for these systems include semiconductor manufacturing, particularly for cleaning wafers, liquid crystal panels, and printed circuit boards.

Designed with sustainability at its core, the MASTERpak™ MICRO system minimizes environmental impact by reducing water and energy consumption, optimizing OPEX costs for chemicals, utilities, and facility space, and mitigating the risk of biological loop contamination and potential product compromise.

With the flexibility to support multiple loops and handle flows ranging from 5–100 gpm, the MASTERpak™ MICRO system adapts to meet demanding production requirements. Backed by MECO’s comprehensive on-site service capabilities—including dedicated service deionization tanks regenerated in a USP-compliant facility—this system ensures uncompromised water quality by eliminating contamination risks associated with co-mixed resins in industrial or water reuse applications.
